Breakfast can be a tough meal to eat healthy when you're short on time during the week. Cereal is usually the go-to option because it requires little to no effort to make.
Cereal was one of the first foods I removed from my diet in order to feel better, lose weight, and gain control over my sugar cravings. So here's a faster and healthier option for you that literally takes 2 minutes to whip together!
Ingredients
1 cup quick oats
1 cup Greek yogurt
1 1/2 cups milk (any type of milk will work)
1 Tbsp maple syrup
1/2 cup chopped nuts (I use walnuts and I buy them pre-chopped to save myself some time)
1/8 cup chia seeds (they will soak up a lot of the liquid, just FYI)
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 cup frozen berries
Directions
1) Mix all ingredients into a mixing bowl or a large storage container.
2) You can either portion out individual servings into covered containers or store it all in one large container.
3) Refrigerate overnight and enjoy in the morning.
*Note: sometimes I get lazy or forget to prep these ahead of time, so I mix them up in the morning and eat them right away, too. Use 1 cup of milk instead if you'll be eating them right away for a thicker consistency.
