Homemade Cheeseburger Mac

Whenever I make a homemade meal that takes 30 minutes or less to cook from start to finish, my husband always jokes and says "eating healthy is so hard".

We laugh, but all too often it's these excuses that keep us from moving forward and finding healthier solutions.

So here's a meal that will be a perfect swap for a common boxed food that many resort to for a quick meal. Making healthy swaps is the name of the game for healthy eating!

Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

1/2 Tbsp dried minced onion

1 tsp paprika

1 tsp dried parsley

1 tsp garlic powder

1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (more or less depending on how much spice you like)

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp pepper

1 1/2 cups milk of your choice

1 1/2 cups beef broth

8 oz can tomato sauce

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Directions

1) Brown ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Stir in minced onion, paprika, parsley, garlic powder, cayenne, salt and pepper.

2) Pour in milk and broth, tomato sauce and pasta. Bring to a simmer then reduce heat to medium-low. Cook until pasta is cooked through, about 10 minutes.

3) Stir in cheese and heat on low until melted.
