Fav Home Gym Equipment

This COVID-19 virus quarantine situation is getting real! And even though my stay at home mom life is already quarantine-esque I'm feeling the added limitations of being stuck in the house.

What have you been doing to keep your mind and your body busy?

I find that movement is therapy. I turn to exercise whenever I'm feeling anxious, worried, out of control or need to boost my energy to feel my best.

Since we're all staying at home, I thought I'd share with you some of my favorite home gym necessities. These are all fairly inexpensive and produce results!

If you need workout ideas you can find some postpartum-safe workouts on my Instagram page or you can join my free Facebook group and get all kinds of support from that group!

Yoga Mat

First, build the basics. Start with a basic mat, you don't need anything fancy, but something to workout on is nice to have to protect your flooring from equipment or even from sweat.

Leggings

Now you've gotta get comfy and wear some leggings that are comfy, durable and squat-proof! These are my new Amazon favorites - they're the quality of expensive leggings but without the price tag!

All of my workouts are strength-based because that's how you improve body composition.

To build muscle you're going to need to challenge your muscles. Here are my favorite home gym essentials:

Resistance Bands

Loop Bands

Dumbbells

Suspension Straps

Bench

If you're trying to build a strong core, add these to your workouts to increase the tension and added aspect of stability to work against:

Pilates Ball

Swiss Exercise Ball

Working out at home is completely doable and can be very effective! I've been working out at home for the last 10 years because it fits so much easier into my lifestyle. And when exercise is easy to do, you'll be more likely to actually do it!

I don't know about you, but when I feel and look strong in my body my confidence boosts right along with it. After having each of my babies my body felt so different. I had lost muscle during pregnancy, had abdominal separation and pelvic floor issues like leaking occur. It took specific training to support my body to heal and get strong again.

If you're feeling this way right now and are ready to take the necessary steps to build a stronger core and body as a postpartum mom, let's chat! I've been there - you don't have to stay that way!

The Strong After Baby Online Program gives you every step to take, all laid out for you, so that a stronger body is possible even while raising littles.
