Egg & Sausage Breakfast Bake

Part of my typical food prep routine, one of the main things I prep in advance, is an egg bake of some kind. I am not a morning person, so having a breakfast that is easy to feed myself and my kids is essential for a happy morning.


This egg bake is very basic, so feel free to spruce it up if you wish! I find that it's nice to have something basic that you can add to and change up depending on how you feel that day. Pair it with fruit, sprinkle cheese on top of it, add sautéed veggies, toast, whatever. Simple is good!



Egg & Sausage Breakfast Bake

Ingredients

1 Tbsp butter

12 oz ground breakfast sausage

12 eggs

Salt and pepper to taste


Directions

1) Preheat oven to 350*F. Grease a 13x9 inch baking dish with butter liberally.

2) In a skillet, brown the sausage and break into crumbles over medium-high heat. Once browned, transfer to the baking dish.

3) Whisk the eggs in a large mixing bowl. Pour over the sausage into the baking dish. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

4) Bake for 35-45 minutes, until the center comes out clean when you pierce it with a fork or toothpick.
