Certified Health Coach & Personal Trainer through ACE Fitness,
Bachelors of Science Degree in Dietetics, UW-Stout
Food and fitness are my passion. As a former dieter, over-exerciser, and calorie counter I know what it's like trying to reach a weight loss goal while feeling miserable. Counting calories in my dieting days was a means to get my body smaller, but it in fact only triggered obsessive and binge eating behaviors. Eating less and moving more was not the answer. I never saw my body change the way I wanted it to. Instead of chasing the next diet fad, I got smarter and learned everything I could about how to treat my body the right way. And it was a lot simpler than what I was doing! That's why I'm here, to make weight loss and a healthy lifestyle simple for you, too.
I have two kids of my own, a girl and a boy - plus a puppy if he counts - who have become my world. I get to stay home with these little people during the day, a privilege I have to remind myself of often. I've learned the best and worst parts about myself, my kids have taught me more about life than anyone!
Becoming a mom has introduced me to a world of travel mugs to keep my coffee hot, days spent living in leggings, and my lava-like salt baths that are a weekly requirement to maintain a sense of luxury.
I am happiest when I'm with my family, in my kitchen creating new recipes that I love sharing with you, or playing board games around the kitchen table because I love watching people's true colors come out.
